Boring. Saturday. Post

Today. Upon my random searching of the world wideness that be the web, I came across a site called Cam Vista. Realtime viewing of almost all the hot-spots in the world! I'm amazed! But I'm not too sure if it's for all the right reasons. Yeah, being able to watch the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street in real-time is one thing...but the Loch-Ness Lake in the Highlands!? I was actually in my "myths of the world" mode, to see if I could actually spot old Nessy!
Spend some time on the site, and get your defintion of people.watching.people.

Wiley - Cash In My Pocket

feat. Daniel Merriweather. Produced By Marky Mark Ronson. As far as I know, the whole album is exec produced by the guy.
Now they're saying we're too music video! New pictures please.
...On the way!

Speaking of which...

...And just when I was suggesting this new Hov in the previous post. The video alone goes HARD. Whether it'll be official, who knows. By Evan Roth.

"In The Mean Time" Post.

As christmas time approaches, I thought it would make sense to compile a list of music to get you in the christmas mood.
Nah, not really. This is just that new across-the-atlantic hip-hop you can find me banging at current! So you should be too.

Common - Punch Drunk Love
KanYe West - Paranoid
Jay-Z - Brooklyn Go Hard (Apparently so...)
Illa J - Timeless

...Oh yeah, theres more. But just worry about obtaining those for now.

Happy Friday!

Enjoy the weekend!
New pics on the way. Music related things are coming in big amounts. Stay Close.
Just a few things to brighten your weekend....

From everyones new favourite music director. Off that new Q-Tip record....

New Chippy!

loool, This never gets old!!

Happy. Friday.

Evidence - The Layover

Evidence's solo work is turning out to label him as my current favourite rapper.

So. Original.

Friendly Fires - Paris [Live]

I thought I saw everything from the Reading/Leeds festival. But I've just been put on to this performance from the BBC Three coverage.
Pretty good live. The album is fresh sounding. Maybe it's the sample usage of The Field or how nice the imagery x music is on the eyes and ears, but this song works.
[...I could move like that, if I wanted to]

.....

No, Seriously. Yes we really can.

Let's Get It On!!

Pics From The Exhibition.

...Here are some pictures taken from the exhibition! a.k.a: Vernissage A7ik at TheCoffeeClub, Brussels.
My exhibition photos were there in spirit of course. Smiling Down.

Music Appreciation

Now the 1st album in my opinion was a masterpiece. I gots bussssy recommending, like I was getting payed.

Foreign Exchange [i.e. Nicolay and Phonte of Little Brother] just released their sophomore, so-for-more of you to get that new flavour. Leave It all Behind - Been listening a bit. For a bit. And, maaaaaan?? It's sonically like nothing else out right now. One of my favourite for '08.
I'm not here to give a cliche review of it ["I like track 2, because..."] Just treat your ears this winter. Get that ish! However you get that ish!

Happy Friday.

Welcome To The World of Digital

So the story goes....
I was supposed to be exhibiting some work with friends (aka: a7ik) over in Brussels last weekend, right?
So anyway I had the vivacious imagery which had been taken over time ready on a memory card. Communication is running smoothly with the team. Good to Go!
Downloading the images onto the laptop to be sent for printing x framing. And what you don't want to see is what you see "ErRor CAnNOT CoNnEcT" or whatver it said....

SO I try to connect my camera via USB (Thinking it would make a difference, I was in a state a panic!! by now ) and what do I realise? This badboy aint reading my card regardless!!!!!???
[So I lost my images and werent able to submit any for the exhibition.]

Thats the long story shortened. I chose to leave out the Stone Cold Stunner I gave the 1st innocent bystander that I saw.

Thats it. Gonna go curl up with my Holga and watch a movie.

Oh, two more things though....
Visit the site though, pics are up of the exhibition.
I'm Purchasing the most rugged SD card that you've seen thus far!

Red Baby!!

He's so crazay!
There is a story behind this. But I doubt u care to know...or do u?

I Know. I Know...

"It hasnt been that long, has it?"

To all those who regularly check the blog only to find that same ol' stuff from yesterweek. I apologise. The reason to this is because I'm doing a lot. And when I say "a lot" this aint to be confused with the current youth of today definition. Nah. (though I am down with the kids). I'm actually doing a few things to benefit WE! You'll see! Soon see!

Gallery on the A7ik Site

In light of the up-and-coming exhibition and future projects with A7ik, you can now find a gallery of my photography, alongside my hounorable affiliates over at a7ik.net. [Click on "Cross-Art" to view the imagery].

New wave of directors making music videos enjoyable to watch again (straight Deebo’d from via Wired)
Internet hasn't killed the video star. Yet.
[Extra focus on Rik Cordero!]

Kinda surprised Romain Gavras wasn't mentioned.

Be seeing ya!

10 Optical Illusions in 2 Mins

Not too sure how old this is, but I only caught onto this yesterday. But seeing as it's to promote the Samsung Soul, it is probably a few months young. If your "mobile phone game" is of a high level, you'd know this too.

More Imagery!

Another preview of the gallery.

Track of the Moment - The Streets - The Escapist

+ a clever video, and you got the perfect formula.

"During a great period of intense mixing we decided that it might be nice to shoot a video. This isn't the way the record industry works and so it was under the radar of the label and done totally for us by us on a shoe string. It was totally different from any other promo that I've made in that it was something real that we just filmed rather than trying to create something real looking using lots of people and lots of angles. I feel like it's more than a video in that sense. Aswell as looking quite odd without all the singing and quick cuts"
(Mike Skinner)

Banksy x New Orleans

Banksy back at it...hitting up the streets of N.O, Louisana.

^My personal favourite from the series. For those that don't know, in its efforts to "maintain" order over the years, the city of new Orleans appointed an individual a night watchmen who goes by the name The Gray Ghost took it upon themselves to wipe-out any piece of graffiti that popped up about town with a slap of that grey paint for almost 10 years. It seemed only right for Banksy to whip open a fresh can of touché on 'em.
